Library Resources
Gust’s library has a collection of over 12, 000 items including books, videos, audio cassettes, CD ROMs, and audio visual equipment.
LION is the Denver Public Schools online library catalog. You have access to view all library materials at Gust as well as online databases.

Fiction Books All of our fiction books consist of easy picture books, easy readers, beginning chapter books, middle chapters, challenging chapters, and story collections.
Non-Fiction Most of our non-fiction collection has been selected to correlate with the Denver Public Schools elementary curriculum standards. The remaining books in our non-fiction section are in areas of high student interest. All non-fiction books are in order by Dewey classification which are:
000 Generalities 500 Natural Science and Math 100 Philosophy & Psychology 600 Applied Science 200 Religion 700 Arts 300 Social Science 800 Literature and Rhetoric 400 Language 900 Geography and History
Reference Our reference materials consist of the following: Encyclopedias, Almanacs, Thesauri, Atlases, Dictionaries, and Indexes.
Professional Materials We offer a few parent and teacher resources on a variety of topics. Some of the topics include: educational theory, behavior management, and lesson plans and guides.
Bookroom We offer a multiple copy bookroom in our library containing book levels from DRA 1 to 7th grade in English and Spanish. The list of titles is available in the library if you are interested in checking any out. We also offer classroom sets of various titles for book group reading.
