Please continue to support your child with his/her homework assignments. Students need to read a minimum of 30 minutes every day! In social studies, students are learning to read maps and use cardinal directions. In science, third grade students are completing a unit on electricity, and fourth grade students are completing a unit on physical science.
In math, third grade students are working on estimation skills and place value skills. They are also learning how to read charts and graphs and how to solve word problems. In math, fourth grade students are working on place value, measurement, reading charts and graphs and solving number sentences.
For all students in room 121 - the Science Fair projects are due on DECEMBER 1st. The Science Fair will be held in the lunchroom on December 1st from 9:00 - 11:00. Thanks you very much for assisting your child with his or her project!!
We are looking forward to having Mrs. Marilyn Miller return to Gust on Thursday, November 12. She is a very talented storyteller. The students love hearing her stories!
