 Getting Started with the DPS App for Families 

1.Download the App

â—ŹiPhone (iOS): Open the App Store, search for Denver Public Schools App, and tap Download (free).

â—ŹAndroid: Open the Google Play Store, search for Denver Public Schools App, and tap Install.

2.Navigate to Rooms

●Rooms (Two-Way Messaging) allows you to send messages to teachers and staff or receive announcements. Works on mobile and desktop—no need to download a separate app.

●On the bottom menu, click on “Rooms”

â—ŹYou will be prompted to choose your preferred language

â—ŹLog in using your email or phone number

â—ŹOnce logged in, you should be automatically included in your students respective classroom

3.Enable Notifications

●The app supports push notifications and SMS alerts so you don’t miss important updates.

●When you first open the app, allow notifications. If prompted later, go to:○Settings → Notifications → Denver Public Schools, and toggle on AllowNotifications

 4.Navigate the App

â—ŹLive Feed / School News: Access districtwide news, school events, calendars, and menus.

â—ŹAnnouncements & Alerts: Important updates come via push alerts, SMS, orin-app messages.
